Ah, yes - "Gate's head" = G, so SNIP-IN-G (which means having a shot at, but confusingly it is now also a bidding technique on eBay which is supposed to help you to get a bargain. I don't know whether that's derived from snip = bargain, or snipe = take a shot at).
