Your assistance please as I can't figure out 16a - He makes pins work together, not having had food - ... and I have it as ?O?P?R .. so there are numerous possible answers but I can't work out which one is right ... maybe it's a senior moment for me.... Thanks for your help

Thanks kayakamina .... can you please help further and explain why it is -cooper- because I still can't see it

My thinking is that a Cooper is a barrel maker but also means a cask or PIN. To work together is to CO-OP.

To work together -cooperate. Take off ate and you are left with cooper as previosly explained.
