Rear Screen Heater Element
If some of the rear screen heater element are damaged , can it be repaired or would you need a complete glass replacement ?

You put one piece to create and age above the bit you want and another piece at below and then paint over the top of them. You'd probably need to remove the tape smartish I'd expect, as you don't want to be peeling the whole lot off after it dries. Practice away from the break first, or even on a different piece of glass.
I've used the paint, the template was quite wide compared to the element, and the paint was quite thick, i'm not sure if this was due to the paint, or if it had been in the motor factors for years and years and had gone off, either way it didn't look pretty if you looked closely at it, BUT it only cost a few £'s and it worked.
Over a hundred quid! Cheaper to throw a rock through it and get the insurance to put a new window in. Even if you have a £50 excess (which I don't) it is much cheaper. Just blame it on a student who has had 27 pints of Carling, taken offence at being chucked out of the pub and doesn't have a very good aim.
