I'm looking for a new job and most interviews these days ask for a 10-20 minute powerpoint presenation on a topic related to the job. This is not my strong point and I wondered whether anyone knows of a company which prepares presentations to order. I've tried searching the web but the only companies I've found charge several thousand pounds. As I'm out of work, this is way out of my league.

I think that it would be much better to get trained on PowerPoint. A course will cost much, much less than this (especially as many adult education centres will give you a reduced rate as you're unemployed). You can then prepare your own presentations, and you will have a new skill to offer employers. This really isn't a difficult program to use. Good luck!
When you say "Most" I assume you mean most in a particular field. Presumably that field demands people with the skills to construct and deliver a presenation. The employer clearly wants to test that ability, if it's not your "Strong point" then surely the job isn't for you.
PowerPoint is very easy to use, I was an instrucor in the Army and used it in presentations from 1997-2003 when I left. It adds so much impact and you can tailor any presentation to your needs.

I would concentrate on getting your presentation up to scratch (unless you are actually after a job as a PowerPoint practitioner), i.e., get your content right first, then practice your communication: getting up in front of an audience and delivering it - without any aids.
