Honi soir que maly pense?
Am I even spelling it correctly?
As far as I am led to believe, it means "Evil be to he who evil thinks!" but I have no idea as to the origin.
I guess it may be latin and the translation may be off somewhat but I think the meaning is accurate.
I always thought it meant that if I said something slightly ambiguous and whoever I was talking to took the "rude" definition, it said more about them than it did about me...
ie: If I said" I watched a DVD last night with a box of tissues next to me" there might be two ways you could take that. If you chose the seedier route then it was because you were already corrupt!
(admit it, you already did!)
A simple case of "Honi soir que maly pense!" yes?
Or am I barking up the proverbial?
