For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.You all are so funny....lifting the leg is a mostly a "learned" behavior, when males become mature they start to notice this kind of thing, they also find the smell of others "up" on surfaces, so hormones drive them, and, if they don't balance correctly, or have difficulty, this will delay the behavior. Some never figure it out others start by the time they're 5 months old, (when they get the first EXTRA shot of male testosterone). Females can try to do this sometimes also, by lifting one leg up slightly while urinating. Be glad the behavior hasn't started, neutering them will help with the hormones driving them, but if they start the habit, it is hard to break, it can be done but just harder. Hope this helps explain..~/:\~
Our Springer took eighteen months to **** his leg.We were so pleased we telephoned all our family and friends to tell them the good news. They all thought we had lost the plot!
Our Springer sleeps on his back, front paws folded and back legs akimbo ? We were told most Springers do.
Absolutely nothing about a Springer's behaviour would surprise us...daft isn't the word ! (but they are very, very GORGEOUS)
