Selling Stuff On Fb

Being sensible, I decided to start selling bits and bobs on FB - what a palaver! I have some Halloween costumes that I have had to re-list due to time wasters and now someone wants to come and see two of them (I can't see why they would waste their time and petrol for £6 worth of costumes). I am going to have to get to grips with Ebay, this is doing my head in.

Yep, selling stuff on FB sounds like more trouble than it's worth, sherr.

I don't do Farcebook but I would imagine that it wouldn't be dissimilar to eBay in listing goods for sale.
Usually takes me about 90 seconds to place a pic and description on eBay.

It's more of a faff than that - all the questions back and forth, private messages, arranging collection (or viewing) of stuff. These people are driving miles to save pennies - it's probably costing them mo in time, effort and petrol to buy second hand stuff than it would be to buy new stuff.

Stick with Ebay, sherr. Less grief imo.

I take it you've placed pics of the items? If so, why do they feel the need to travel some distance to view items?
Are the prospective buyers known to you? If not I'd beware and proceed with caution.

It's all friendly enough but they put so much effort into saving money (but they can't be saving much). Will get himself to put anything else I want to get rid off on Ebay (I haven't got the patience for it), save all this faff (the outfits are only £3.50, not much of a saving on a new one and not enough money for so much faffing).

I've sold a lot of stuff on FB local page, never had a timewaster, but the nuisance is having to meet them elsewhere as my villa is hidden and hard to find, then is needs must, bring them to the house.
