For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I watch Peaky Blinders and Ripper Street for gritty drama; programmes like Lewis for more considered drama; Our Zoo and The Mill for a rollicking good story and Coronation Street for a bit of escapism and nostalgia. If it was realistic it would be boring - it would just show everyone sat in front of the tv or pc, the Rovers would have been shut down years ago and there would be either Dev's shop or Rita's, not enough trade for both. One would be a charity shop with Emily behind the counter.

I never understood that comment when applied to TV especially soaps. Why? I stopped watching all of them about 6 years ago as the storylines were getting more and more ludicrous. I can honestly i've not missed 'em one iota.

Anna was renting the house from Jerry Morton when she and her husband Eddie decided to adopt Faye. Husband runs off, Jerry decides to sell the house. Owen already knows Anna because his daugther Izzie is dating her son Gary.
