Disappointing stories, bit beneath Peter Capaldi's capabilities , waste of his talent

I am really enjoying it....loving the way he started off by saying "I'm not your boyfriend" then getting competitive over dates. Best line "Why is your face coloured in?"

I think it's shaping up ok. Early episodes yet. Stories have been a bit so-so for some time now. At least they are getting back to the idea of the Doc as an authority of sorts rather than everyone's mate.

I agree. I like Peter Capaldi anyway and it always takes a little time to get used to a new doctor. Jenna Coleman is very good. The episode 'Listen' (Sept 13th) almost scared the pants off me! I felt 10 again - and I've watched Dr Who since the first episode!

I haven't seen Dr Who since David Tennant left. Couldn't abide Matt Smith. Peter Capaldi is an excellent actor but it's just that I rather lost interest in the programme. Too many changes in writers, actors, directors, and those annoying girlie assistants the Dr seems to acquire. I liked the ones with David Tennant but after that, they just became annoying little airheads. I'm sure Peter Capaldi's Dr will grow on the sceptics. Give it a chance and give him a chance to settle in and for viewers to get to know this Dr's character and personality.

Steve Moffat is getting too clever. Doctor Who never had complex plots, just good old monsters.

I've just watched the 'listen' episode which was so good but what was that under the red bedspread?....loving the new doctor. couldn't bear matt smith from the word go-too manic and all over the place, it's much more watchable again now.
