I Couldn't Get Away With It Any Longer.

Sadly, today, I put my oldest, loveliest pair of jeans in the recycle bin. I have had them for at least eleven years. They are now the palest blue, have holes in the knees, the bottoms are all ragged and frayed and the seams are threadbare.

I could have got away with wearing something like that forty, thirty or even ten years ago, but no longer. I am so sad. :-(

Socks ,the ones printed October .November December I love them with the holly and the ivy and santy on them .Not keen on the April ,may june ones too jazzy and colourful for my willies.

I put them in the recycling bin with the paper and cardboard, not in the stinky bin. However, I have washed them again, Yont.

Frank, I bet your leather jacket is beautifully soft and crinkly.

I can understand your feelings Tilly. I still have my hot-pant outfit from years ago, can't bear to part with them even though I couldn't wear them now even if I wanted to, they just don't fit now.

I will be overcome with indecision if I try to cut them shorter. Too long, too short, right here, no here.....

No. I am going to keep them as a control pair. They have fitted me for years and if I try them on every week, I will know if I've lost or gained weight. Good, hey?

They were 'decent' ones. No cheeks on show with a nice top to match. I still cant believe I was so skinny. Frayed cut-offs are all the rage with a leather jacket and ankle boots. Go on, be a devil.
