Thanks Hans. I loved Chrome when I was using old laptop on Vista, + installed it on this new one because I'm impressed with how it remembers all my bookmarks, but I'm struggling to get to grips with Windows 8.1.
I'm intending to ask for help in near future, but need to marry my printer up with laptop 1st.

@Bathsheba....I am always willing to try and help. However, there are a lot of other folk in AB who are far more knowledgeable than myself on technological matters. Consequently, as there should be someone who will give you a sound answer, it is a now a matter of folk awaiting further questions from you.
Meanwhile, as you can have as many Browsers as you like, I suggest you and Meenmai both click Buenchico's link and see what you think of Firefox. You'll Not have any problems with the way it handles Bookmarks and it has a vast amount of 'Add-ons' which can be downloaded; all free of charge and which will make 'Computer Life' more enjoyable.
Hans.
