sorry didn't know where else to put this! does anyone know how long it takes to post a parcel from ireland to the UK?

Somewhere between overnight and a week, depending on what service you use. In the opposite direction you have: (and they probably all apply in the direction you want to send)

Letter rate - air mail only.

Small packet rate - air or surface

Parcel Post - air or surface

Courier companies

You could send a 'parcel' by any of them and with most of them pay extra for guaranteed quick delivery.

In my experience most people wanting to send a 'parcel' don't - usually 'small packet' is the most appropriate.
