Can anyone throw me a lifeline, anything at all to get me started. I usually manage but this month I am quite stumped.

So sorry but I am totally stumped too. I usually will manage to get it underway even if I don't finish the Genius crossword but this time there's nothing doing. It have taken me an age just to understand the instructions!

Murielmci - I am stumped as well. I have managed to get some possible answers by taking out to a separate sheet the three clues to each group of the same no of letters. e.g. 4 letter words -

end of Desipere in loco DE and CO makes code and a hundred lines = code therefore code could be the answer to 23d - an anagram of sage is "ages" and "as demonstrated" could be AS EG (for example) making ages the answer to 2d. This would leave drink on the highway as the clue to 25d

This could be all wrong of course - perhaps we could compare notes later.
