Clarkson does not come up with all these comments , jokes and the rest himself. He has a team of scriptwriters to help him. The comments are written planned and rehearsed not 'off the cuff' as many seem to think.
You don't think he writes his Twitter posts himself do you? No, he has people to do that as well .

The funniest writer writing today - his Sunday Times column is worth the price of the paper alone.....defintely number one on my dream dinner party guest list (if you're interested (I doubt you are) closely followed by Emma Stone, Liz Hurley, Leslie Mann, Zooey Deschanel and Louise Minchin).

People loved being outraged by Clarkson, and therefore he is more than happy to oblige the mirthless among us.
