Cooking A Christmas Pudding

Can you cook a Christmas Pudding in the slow cooker? How long for?

About 8 hours on low and then about 4 more hours on xmas day, maybe longer for a big pud. I make a 1lb pudding. I find it useful as you can put it in the slow cooker in another room and it leaves the kitchen free for other things. I can post a recipe later if you need one.

I cook mine overnight. If there is a big gap round the lid, stuff some foil into it to stop too much evaporation. A couple of hours more on Christmas day will do to warm it up again. And of course it doesn't have to be in the kitchen, where there are a million other things cooking.
