Increasing the volume on a PC
I am a little hard of hearing. When my PC's volume is 100% I still have difficulty hearing it. Thanks in advance for any useful suggestions that might assist.

If you are on XP check on the right of the task bar and there may be a volume control. Right click on the icon and select "Open Volume Control". There are five volume controls for different devices.
Applications like Windows Media Player have also got their own volume control.
If you have external speakers they will also have their own volume control.
On the main Start menu there is a volume control option, It may be under Accesories and Entertainment.
Hopefully one or more of them should solve your problem.
Just like vehelpfulguy said, there are several things that you have to be set to "100%" for the volume to be maximal.
Now once you have done that, if your PC has only an internal speaker, it still won't be very loud anyway, so you might have to plug some speakers or headphones, or even plug it to a stereo.
