I've often wondered how people are chosen to take part in surveys as I have never been asked before, nor do I know anyone who has been asked, but I received a letter asking me to take part in a Crime Survey for England and Wales and yesterday a young man called to ask if he could come this afternoon to ask me some questions for the survey.I was hoping it might have been a nice young police officer in uniform but unfortunately it's just a young student but he seemed nice enough anyway.
Have you ever been asked to take part in a survey and what was it for? x
I take part in online surveys for YouGov, I get points for every survey completed and when I reach 5000 you can cash it in for £50, I reckon I get one survey a week, sometimes more.
Morning, Barsel......I haven't....except the one where the chap was trying to find out which houses would be empty at night!...☺
My son did once...the rascal....we were renovating an old house...he was about fifteen and asked to take part in a survey on being a teenager and how much freedom teens had....
Bear in mind....he was a top schools athlete.....has never smoked or been drunk....well once by accident.....and I was an over protective mother to both my kids....my apron strings were long and stretchy....
The survey had to be in private for truthful answers so I suggested he and the lady use his bedroom.....yet to be carpeted and I knew I could eavesdrop from the room below.....☻
Well! The fibs that child told!! The one I chased him around the garden for later though was his answer to....
Do you have to be in at a certain time at night?
Nahh.....he muttered.....my parents don't fuss about when I come in....I just come and go as I like......
The little so and so never went anywhere apart from athletics meetings.....
Oh the attempts of young teens trying to appear grown up......☺
I wonder how accurate the findings of that survey were!!!!
I took part in a survey where you itemised everyday spending and kept a very accurate record for a month. It was so detailed I couldn't just put groceries but every item I bought was listed and priced. At the end of the month when the survey was collected I was generously told my reward was I could keep the pen.
Lol gness :-) vulcan42 that must have taken up an awful lot of your time, and all for a measly pen!
Never thought to ask if they pay you for doing this but I expect they would have said if they do.
Just thinking what would be a nice reward for taking part and my first thought was a ride in a big posh police car with the blues turned on, a couple of uniforms either side of me in the back, but then I think I've already done that. Ha ha only joking.x
