My Mother had crippling Rheumatoid Arthritis and I have had it since 1989.
Is there anyway my daughters are likely to get this and is there anyway they can be checked now to see if they will get it in later life?
My daughters are aged 36, 32 and 29 yrs old.
Many thanks.
Our immune system protects us by attacking foreign substances that invade our body. There are times that the immune system is fooled into attacking healthy parts of our bodies. Some of the genes thought to be responsible for RA are also involved in other autoimmune diseases, such as type 1 diabetes and multiple sclerosis. This may be why some people develop more than one autoimmune disease. Living with rheumatoid arthritis? You may qualify for this clinical research study http://www.sirroundprogram.com
