Hi Everyone,

I am going to Fuerteventura staying at Corralejo in July with my wife. This is my first time to this island and I was wondering if anyone who has been can let me know of any nice restaurants or excursions to go on.

We are both in our 20's and looking for a nice relaxed holiday with a bit of a laugh and good food and interesting plces to see.

Thanks very much !

we stayed in Corralejo last year, most of the entertainment/restaurants etc seemed to be along the main road. We tried different restaurants most evenings, but our favourites were the Chinese restaurant (Slow Boat?) inside a covered area near to the Mexican Cantina - fantastic service, very good food and prices were really quite good considering the amount of food. There were two other restaurants we liked - can't remember the names of them, but I think they both had artificial flame torches outside. The Italian Trattoria inside the covered area tried to rip us off, when we ordered a litre of sangria, they brought us a very small jug which just filled 3 small wine glasses, when we queried it, she said no we had the 1/2 litre and did we want another one so we said yes, but were charged for 2 litres on the bill we refused to pay for both of them. There is a market where lots of interesting bits and pieces can be found, beware of the African sellers though they can be very persistant. The rest of the family did the snorkel Safari which is bookable at the market, which they said was brilliant . We were only there for a week, so didn't get to explore the island very much as we wanted it to be very much a wind down relaxing break. Hope you have a good time!

Thanks to everyone who has given me some good advice.

Bob a Job - we are staying in the Dunas Apartments.

There are about ten different 'Dunas' hotels/apartments (Dunas is Spanish for 'Dunes', as in the sand dunes that make the north of the island famous)

I write for the Islands on-line Newspaper, e-mail me at [email protected] and i will forward some good info for you,

You could visit www.sunnyfuerteventura.com for ideas about what to do if you are staying in Corralejo, or anywhere else on Fuerteventura for that matter.
