Sky Plus joining offers

I have been a Sky customer for years and am thinking about upgrading to Sky Plus. However when I went on their site to look up prices it said for existing customers it was �199 plus �60 installation yet for new customers it was �89 and free installation. So much for rewarding existing customers! I thought there was a deal on where you could upgrade to Sky plus if you recommended a friend but they're now just offering �50. Anyone know anyway round paying �259?!

Phone them up and ask to close your account, they will then transfer you to the "Customer retention" team. You can explain to them why, they have the power to give you the offer, worked for me!

Sky+ is awesome, it will change your viewing life forever, you'll never want to go back.

I just upgraded my sky box to sky+ but took out multi-room at the same time.

The sky plus box cost �89, multiroom cost �10 a month extra, and installation was free.

They moved my existing sky box to another room.

Thanks guys, I thought that it might work if I phone and threaten to cancel and then re-join, did that with o2 when they were trying to charge me huge amounts of money for an upgrade yet it was free to new customers, that worked too!!

I saw the Multiroom offer as well - just don't particularly want to pay �10 extra a month, we already pay enough!!!!

Sky are a funny bunch !
I wanted to get Sky for my Dad as a present starting this August and pay in advance for a year so he can watch the Ryder cup, Ashes and Cricket as well as the football.
I worked it out at �600 for a Sky+ box and Sport+ film subs.

They quoted me �817!! I can�t fathom out how they come to this figure? It seems punitive if you pay in advance as well!

phone them up tell them you are going to ntl, because you resent newcustomers getting a better deal than you. I did and got sky + for �65 all in job done!!!

Phone up and cancel your sky,you then take it out under either a maiden name,or a boyfriends name you tell them you,ve just moved in and are a new customer!!!
