But the question was, can Henrietta do so legally.
For a start I'm not sure that you would get Sky TV (that comes with a subscription) on the internet, but that's a technical matter and nothing really to do with legality (by which i assume you mean the TV Licence).
As the law stands (and from the TV Licence agency's website):
"You need to be covered by a valid TV Licence if you watch or record TV as it's being broadcast. This includes the use of devices such as a computer, laptop, mobile phone or DVD/video recorder. "
There will likely be a number of people piling into this question now with answers suggesting that this is not true, or that it is unenforceable and so on. But that's the law as it stands and it's fairly straightforward.

Okay thanks as I like to make sure I'm on the right side of the law as I remember reading that someone was going to take action against hundreds or thousands of people regarding something they did and they had the proof and details to track everyone down.
I think it was downloading music or movies or something like that.

Henrietta,
The chances of anybody knocking on your door would be millions to one, unless you were showing it in a public place like a pub etc.
I also have a cable that I can plug into the back of my TV from my laptop to watch on big screen.
Stop worrying!
Judge, you can watch Sky and BBC live, and Yes the licence covers you to use any number of TVs or other devices in your home, unless you rent rooms out to other people.

I appreciate that hc4361 but others may think they can watch live TV via that website without a licence.
I wait for months for a best answer and when I get one I find out it's a mistake. Thanks for the mistake Henrietta, you can change if you want to. There are far better answers than that one of mine.
