Available from most haberdasheries, you can get iron on ones but not sure I'd trust them.

Besides sewing the tear, maybe an iron on patch would fix it.

I have often used iron-on pocket ends, and none of them has failed yet.

Funny you should ask that. For 30 years I was always wearing holes into my pockets, due to the weight of the change. Since they diminished the size of coinage I have had no further problems.

My Dad always wrapped his change in a hankie. So no holes in pockets.

If you're anything like me you'd just leave it there. I don't have the issue of money causing holes or even dropping through a hole. Now why didn't I think of that benefit for being skint all the time! Not very helpful I know, sorry.

Thanks for the replies, I got someone to sew it up but will probably get a new pocket if that fails. Weirdly I never thought that was a possibility but there you go. I'll ask them to make the new pocket less crappy and not let money fall out on a regular basis.

If you were getting new pockets could you specify deep ones?

Sandy the problem I find is that a lot of pockets are connected along the thigh so when you sit anything in the pocket works its way upward. They need to naturally fall towards the rump into a little pocket. If you'll pardon the pun.
