I am not sure about one clue any help appreciated. 17ac Genus or Latin name of a flowering plant depicted in various paintings by Vincent van Gogh. 4L I - I - . I think it must be iris but couldn't find a painting with iris's in it.

Thank you both, I found every flower but Iris in a list of his works, I should have been more patient and looked further.
I think this is a trick clue! Ixia is the latin name for sunflower.
