Defacing Passport

I was recently in Canada and in a bar that stamped your hand on entry. As I was particularly drunk I asked the doorman to stamp my passport with the establishment's mark.

Is there any problem with this?

Depends where they stamped it - if it's on the photo page, for example, you'll probably need a new passport. Same as if it 'cancelled' a visa.

If it's just on a page where an immigration officer would stamp anyway it's technically illegal but unlikely to cause problems. Unless it was the Israel Bar and you are trying to enter an Arab country.
