Does anyone know of a countdown clock that will float on top of whatever I'm looking at on my pc?

I'd find such a thing very useful

This offers an 'always on top' feature, so it might be worth a try:

NB: Software from that site is always virus-free but, unless you're careful, still comes with lots of things that you don't need on your computer. When installing it, take great care to deselect all of the 'extras' offered.

Unchecky http://unchecky.com/ does a good job of preventing unwanted extras when installing software
