iv told you b4 about my 17 year old cousin a few weeks ago wen i was asking bout him paying tax the thing is he is really worried he isnt being paid enough hes on 100.00 a week and works as a admin clerk his friends are on 200.00 a week but they work in a factory packing papers.
the thing is iv told him were will his friends be in a few years time wen working in a factory they cant go much further.
wereas my cousin could be successful in the future and get a job promo to manager or something.
is ot best that he is patient or should he find a new job thanks in advance SSx

The minimum wage for under 18s (no longer of compulsory school age) is �3, so he should be getting at least this - assuming he isn't on an apprenticeship? I suppose if he has short working days he might just be scraping �3 an hour. Minimum wage once he hits 18 is �4.25.
As to whether he should get another job - you're probably right about the factory work, but it depends on his exact situation. If there are a lot of jobs going in his area he might find a similar one for more pay, but if jobs are hard to come by he might be better off staying where he is. Certainly the path to a promotion is a bit more clearly set out in an office environment.
I'm sure there are other ABers who know more about the pay situation and whether he can challenge his boss for more ��.
