How do households appliances know it is the most inconvenient time to keel over?

Everytime Mr Cake goes away an appliance gives up the ghost, today it is the TV, which is even more of an issue because I have no clue how to switch on the other TV :-(

I do wonder if the electrical appliances have a pow wow in the middle of the night to decide whose turn it is to be mardy :-(

The good news is that the TV came out of sulk mode about 20mins ago :-)

Any time your TV goes on the blink - turn it off at the wall - in fact take plug out and leave for 15-30 mins. Do this even if you lose SKY - it will come back.
