The caller asked for me by name before going into their spiel. I've two questions. Did the accident affect my memory? I can't recall it. How did the caller know my name and number?

Tuesday of last week someone drove into back of OH's car as she was going to work. the 'at fault' driver owned up and gave details. Before OH got home I'd had two 'phone calls from 'Insurance Claim Handlers' offering to sort it all out for us. At that stage OH had only spoken to Police to report accident, so kind of raises the same question.

I had a similar call and told chap that he is not telling the truth (only less politely). I know they get my name and phone number from random things I have entered on the internet, for which I always give my work number.

I believe the rules changed about two weeks regarding compensation for flight delays - can now go back 8 years or something. Guess who got a recorded message last night to say I could be owed £550?
