Cannot complete this one.

The clues are of the form "Heavenly messenger at a northern racecourse" - the answer to which is "Angela Rippon" (Angel + a + Ripon).

The one I am stuck with is:

"Slight cut for a man who hacks down trees".

Any ideas?

For some years now at this time of the year, Uttoxeter Rotary Club has been producing a Quiz which consists of 60 cryptic clues to the names of celebrities and famous people. It can be great fun trying to come up with the right answers either as individuals, in families or at parties over the Christmas period. It can be useful to have a range of ages in your group to cover the famous people's eras. There is a prize of £50 drawn from those with the most correct answers.
Downloading the Quiz from the attached file or the links below, does not cost anything, but if you subsequently enjoy the challenge we would ask you to consider making a minimum donation of £1 to the Rotary Club (perhaps even a £1 each if you've done it in a Group?)
