Trouble Texting

This is on an android phone. I'll type a few characters...then screen freezes and character will not come up. Earlier I couldn't erase either. I thought maybe it was memory, and got rid of texts,and emails. But there is plenty of memory. Any ideas?

I am not the Brains with these things, but can you not remove the Battery & leave out for an hour or so, try to see if it resets itself.

My Android phone plays up too. Not overly impressed. You have tried a reboot ? Worst comes to worst you can try to reset to factory settings.

Pasta, my phone is behaving in exactly the same way as yours.
The first thing I did was to give the screen its first ever clean but this made no difference.
Mr O and Youngest Junior O (technical wizard) both had a go. Mr O had the same problem but YJO didn't. He said it was the way I use my fingers....I tap with the end of my finger rather than with the flat of my finger pad.

mrs_o...if it was how we typed,why are we only having problems now?
As I said,I thought it might be memory but I seem to have plenty left. Guess I'll try taking my battery out next.

Maybe a stylus pen would help, OR allow just your phone Carrier to connect, turning off wifi/bluetooth etc.

My iPad has started to do exactly the same thing, it makes the noise when you tap on the letter but nothing appears on the screen
