Well I have been for most of the evening it seems.

The occasional answer in UC, then some inspired guesswork in Only Connect - all quite acceptable.

But I'm afraid the language provoked by the Posh Twits (sp?) in The Tatler has caused the swearywordbox to be filled to overflowing - what a waste of valuable oxygen their continued breathing is ...

Got to admit I'm a TV shouter, but footie took over the box tonight so I didn't get to see Posh Twits. Egghead and Pointless and The Chase usually get me going.
Haha I'm loving it, who'd have believed it in this day and age.
I've had a shouty day too, Dave.....at Save the Children for giving an award to Tony Blair and at Kettering Borough Council who WILL light their car parks before they become a mugger's paradise.....

Now putting on the TV.....more shouting?....x
Yeah just, Villa 1 Southampton 1 :-(
I'm enjoying the Tatler programme - even they know how times have changed and are having to adapt.
Blimey - Villa actually got a goal!
The women riding sidesaddle cross country, now that takes some guts - more than is required to play football.

LOL, how ya doin Hopkirk. How did the baggies do on Saturday ?.
We kept it down to two somehow
Very dubious sending off imo, Hopkirk.
only connect - oh yes the bridge question

I didnt find much to shout about in university c=ckup
I did that last week while watching Scotland v England.

Being a single person, I was wondering who I was shouting at, and slightly more concerning was who was answering!!!
I shout at people using bad grammar, especially news readers/reporters/public speakers.
I don't watch much TV as it irritates the life out of me.
I have a daily shout at the radio at 10.30am each day when I listen to Ken Bruce's Popmaster quiz on Radio 2
Who are the Posh Twits, please?
I used to love a shout at Catch Phrase when Roy Walker did it.

Roy would be doing his jolly Irish uncle bit with his usual 'Close, but yer not reight...'

and I, along with millions of others, would be shrieking at the telly - "You're miles off you stupd gallumping great useless tos*er!!!!"

Thanks, sunny-dave.
Not my kind of thing to watch. I'm surprised my OH hasn't recorded it.

The present Mrs Hughes loves football, and watches avidly on TV, cimplete with running comentary. I am usually in another room doing other things, but I can follow the progress of the game, especially if the mighty Potters are playing (she's a season ticket holder).

When the children were small, I was obliged to remove them from the house from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to allow her to enjoy the build-up, and also give full vent to her opinions of the referee, without delicate little ears picking up any unladylike expressions!
