Has anyone bought any of these and if so, which are the best. Presume its possible to get larger fitted bedsheets to cover this as well as the mattress?

Do toppers actually work? i.e. provide enough support yet are comfortable too?

I got mine as part of a set at Argos - matress topper, duck feather duvet and 2 pillows for about 30. Our divan was really lumpy, and we considered buying a new mattress, but the mattress topper has worked wonders. It's made such a big difference, and our normal double sheets fit as normal.
Bought ours from QVC on Sky TV its a Northern Nights product. Its fabulous and I would find it hard to sleep without it now. It is so comfortable and it can be used all year round. Even it the height of summer it did'nt make us hot. The same company also sell bedding most of which is suitable to use with a topper (extra depth to the fitted bottom sheets). We have recommended this product to friends and family and they are now hooked on them too. They are more expensive than your first reply but we feel it has been a worthwhile purchase.

scooby - was yours made of material, like a thin duvet and poolek - was yours that spongey beigy type with ridges?
My one is sort of like a quilt, with little sealed pockets filled with feathers, then all joined up to make one big cover, and has elastic that fits over the corners of the mattress. It's about an inch thick.
I have a memory foam one on my bed, love it, so comfy!....wasn't expensive, got it from B&M bargains!.....no need to spend a fortune!....
