on a quiz show yesterday they asked what branch of the armed services do the red arrows belong he answered the raf,but the host said no its the army but google says raf whos right

Arrived Sunday DTC ! Really bright these last 2 days, but now very cold. Its the stars down here that gets me...there are so many of them ! I guess that back home in South Wales, the night sky isn't as dark as here.

I have been exploring the Towans at Hayle today...very beautiful and almost deserted at this time of year. The sea today was as clear as Gin, a slightly blue-green Gin that is !

Are we going to have a drink at the Tinners sometime this month ? Not sure how to arrange a date on this open forum !

divebuddy fair point. I live in England so I have no idea who the government of Northern Ireland is.....
My grandfather used to take us sledging down the dunes at Gwithian, just around the corner, tea-trays being the sledges - great fun for young kids and Godrevy was always a favourite for the rock pools. Did you discover the 'Bucket of Blood' pub then....

Perranporth is interesting to cover as well, the remnants of the old church above the golf course and the rest of the church moved 3 miles inland to Perranzabuloe, nearby pub of the Bolingey as a hostelry..... the church has fabulous roofing and mediaeval gravestones on the wall that I would love to have in a dining room. Also, there's the ancient chapel just exposed from the sands....
