Small Portable Printers

Does anyone know of a small portable printer, that I can use with my laptop when I am in my caravan ? Its not really practicable to bring my HP Photosmart, as there is nowhere to put it !

It would need to be really small, and be capable of running on batteries if necessary. Rechargeable would be ideal.

PC world looked at me as if I was mad when I asked last week.....you would have thought I was asking for a golden elephant.

PS...I don't want to print photos...just A4 sheets of paper, in B+W.

I don't think you will find anything smaller and as good as Canon Pixma iP100; HP Officejet 100.

However,being Portable, re-chargable Battery and capable of printing A4, they are far from cheap to buy. In the region of £250 ea.

Thanks everybody. I used to work as a Financial Adviser years ago and we needed to be able to print out documents for people to sign on the spot, so to speak. We used a previous, B/W version of the Canon, which was about as small as they come. I guess the Pixma iP100 is the modern version of that one. We also used a Panasonic printer, that worked in a similar fashion, but I can't find any trace of a modern version now.

I have found a few on Ebay but they are over £300 new, although there are some second hand for less than £100. Not keen on buying used, as printers are notorious for going faulty !

I think the industry are missing out on a huge market here, when you consider the millions of people that must use mobile computers these days...Laptops, Notebooks, and Tablets. The ability to print off a page or two of A4 whenever you needed to and not have to wait until you get home would be really useful.

I mentioned that to PC world last week, but they looked a bit nonplussed ....about par for the course with PC World I guess !

Yes, you have looked on eBay.

It may be more practical for you to put the files you want printing on to a flash drive or memory card and get them printed at the local library or any other place that will do it for around 10p a sheet.
Perhaps your caravan site has an office that will be happy to do it for you?

HC...that is what I do most times when I am on site ! But think how convenient it would be if I could use a printer anywhere I like !
