Are there any particular foods or drinks you can have to get rid of a bloated feeling? I have tablets somewhere but before I take them I want to see if something like a glass of milk would help! Any ideas?

agree with gill. wife used to work in a pub and like the rest of the staff took peppermint cordial.

Yes, a glass of milk helps me.

A fizzy coke can also help but go somewhere to be alone when the belches start!

Ok I just had one of those 'Windeze' chewable mints, washed down with a glass of milk. That should work. If not I will go and have a lie down. Lol

A teaspoon full of Bi-carb in a drop of water works wonders :-)

Two heaped teaspoons is the best laxative known to man .............. you may have to give it time but do not venture far from the loo.... when it works it is like Mr Muscle sink unblocker!!!! :-o

I find eating too much bread, especially that delicious French bread makes me feel floated and it if cut it out that really helps. There have been various TV adverts recently about some bio-type milk drink you can take to help reduce the bloated feeling but I'm rather cynical of the claims of most of these products. Probably just filling your stomach with less food is as good a soluton, and a lot cheaper.

Sorry to be so personal Ruby, but are you going to the loo regularly ? (for No 2s) - if you are constipated this has a knock on effect to the bloated feeling darling. Feeling bloated is very uncomfortable and makes you feel so bleh and sluggish..... try going for a walk if your digestion seems a little slow....let us know if you managed to 'relieve' yourself....

Thanks guys Lol.

I feel better this morning. I always do when I wake up. I think its coz I had a toasted cheese sandwich and bread sometimes makes me feel bloated. I shouldn't have it but I am a sucker for french bread and pat! Mmmm

I will try that Bi-carb next time.

Thanks everyone. :o)

are you sure you don't have a wheat allergy? i can't eat bread too often or I get a very bloated feeling

Hi, I used to get a lot of stomach upsets, often exacerbated by nerves.

I eat a high fibre diet now, and take an aloe vera capsule each day, and I feel loads better!

Mind you, I had a burst appendix two years ago, and all my symptons seemed to clear up after I recovered from the op. Not sure if that is connected or coincidence.
