I do, he got his wealth through hard slog and is true to his roots and never forgets them.
I think that "down to earth" means that he still lives and speaks like the "working man."

Yeah" right.
Yeah.

He must be down to earth................he bought a caravan in Skegness
Several, and they all are.

I also know many pretentious berks who have far smaller bank accounts...
Well he doesn't speak any differently than he did 30 years ago.

Plenty. Especially in business. It's not such a great amount of money these days.
Several in the building trade who still get their hands dirty.

Any pretentious ones tend to be new money. Old money isn't usually quite so self-conscious. I can think of several examples. One friend if mine, who happens to be an Earl, still rolls his own in the pub :o)
Mr Builder - does he grow his own 'tobacco'?
I don't know any multi milloinaires. I don't move in those circles.
I don't either
Yes, like Mamya, I know a couple who got it through sheer hard work. They are very generous, funny, friendly and talk like everyone else around them.
Most of my aquaintances/friends are teachers. Teachers don't get to be multi millionaires.
