to get a gmail address someone who already has one needs to invite you to the service.

There used to be a site gmailswap.com, which is now dedicated to other things, where you could trade services with someone in return for an invitation to gmail.

One final solution is to purchase an invitation from ebay.co.uk yes people are still cashing in on the supposedly 'limited number of gmail accounts' which is just a very clever marketing ploy.

Just to let you or anyone know ,Ive had a Gmail account for months now which i never used once but im bombarded with spam in the inbox so it seems google have passsed my addy on to third party companies.

I have also had a Gmail account for months and am unlucky if I receive2 spam messages in a month.

Plus the spam filters that google use filter 100% of the spam to the dedicated spam folder and not the inbox.

It is probably due to the email address that you chose seeing as Google have a policy of not giving your details to 3rd parties.
