if my electricity costs 10p per kwh, how much does it cost to run my tumble dryer (2400w) for one hour?

2400w is 2.4Kw, so the cost would be 24p per hour.

and get my clothes nicked kendo2? dryer is cheaper, i thought it would cost about �1.00 per hr, loosely based on what launderette's charge.

Commercial washer/driers would have a faster spin than a domestic machine as their bolted to the floor and run at 2000/3000rpm.this would mean less time for the heating/fan power required. With their overheads it still is a good price.You do have a point.Buy a big dog REECEYBOYX and tie him to your linepost.A golden retriever would even bring your close back.
