While I'm here (before I finish my baking)..

I've got a pain that is running down my left arm from the inside of my elbow (not the bone but feels like it's from a vein or artery running parallel to my palm). The pain is shooting and runs down to my wrist but no further. I've had this for a few days now and it has been keeping me awake at night. I also have lower back pain which I've been told could be related to this.

Any ideas?

Dizmo......I cannot see any connection between the pain in your arm and the pain that you describe in your forearm. The latter could be many things, but your description is light on information.

A common cause is carpal tunnel syndrome, where a major nerve, the ulnar nerve is trapped at the wrist.

See your GP

Sqad: easier said that done. I could probably get an appointment with the queen before getting one with my GP. I'll bring it up next time I'm hospitalised - unless it kills me! My blood pressure sits at 140+/130 and my resting BPM is about 96/102. Neither the hospital or doctors care so... I'll bring it up next time I can see someone.. Cheers.

Rusty, I'm right handed ;p
You might have fancied a change:-)

I don't like change, my right hand has more experience. My left hand turned down the apprenticeship.
Lol
Am I unique in getting pains which I just as just well getting a pain?

My Husband walks for, at the very least 12 miles a day, over terrain which is very hilly and very daunting.....in all weathers. He has ailments all the time, he just cracks on with it.

Do some people have too much time on their hands? Seriously I have the utmost admiration for anyone working outside in this weather, it'll get worse then I read about minor details, albeit major to them. About time they had a reality check. You have too much time on your hands !! You'll know if it's serious, your body will tell you and you wont post on AB ;)

I get that some people have serious issues and need coaxed but some are just nonsence...like my bleeding from my ear a week or so back ;)
Even I dont understand my first sentence.

I was distracted for ages and forgot it was there lol

kylesmum: You lost me with the first sentence also.

I do just crack on with it, I just wanted Sqad's 'point of view' I suppose. I walk miles and miles a week as well but don't seem to get my back pain whilst walking. I know this pain isn't psychological though as nothing takes it off.
When I was a young lad I was told that it was necessary to change hands after the 49th stroke to avoid the risk of RSI.

Under those circumstances BlackadderV I use both hands to stroke with.
Isn't it amazing we can get a response from our revered physician Sqad in minutes but impossible with our GPs?
Question Author
Psybbo: I struggle to get an appointment let alone a response. They know there is fluid on my left flank so why not do something about it. If I had a long enough needle I'd do it myself.
