Do dogs dream? and if so what do you think they dream about?
9 Answers
My current dog(labrador) doesn't do it much but our old dog(boxer/border collieX) used to do it all the time. He would be fast asleep but his legs would twitch like he was dreaming about running and he would make muffled barking noises at the same time. I'm sure it would have been investigated whether or not they do dream, if only they could talk!

It was very funny to watch as her feet would be twitching like mad and she'd be curling her lip up as well.
My cat also does it - his feet, ears and tail quite often twitch noticeably when he's sleeping deeply.
My dod does it all the time he succles and woofs and wriggles all over the place when hes asleep. But in short all land mammals and birds have r.e.m. (rappid eye movement) sleep this is when they/we dream there are lots of different theories on what its for, it seems to help our memories and the more r.e.m sleep we get the less likely we are to suffer from depression.hope that explains it a bit. :-)
