Path is too Deep error message with MP3 Player

My MP3 Player has suddenly decided that it doesn't want to have anymore files on it despite having loads of space. I had accepted the fact that it installed itself as a disk drive instead of a MTP Device like it should have, but without changing anything at all, whenever I try to copy any files onto the player the error message comes up saying that "the path is too deep". I've looked it up on google and seems to be a generic hardware problem, when attached, a generic volume shows up but I can't find a new driver for it. Also file character length is not an issue, already tried one character length file name

How many folders have you got on the drive? Are all your files just in the root folder, i.e. / or [drive letter]:/ ?

What capacity (in MB or GB) is the player and how many files have you got on the player? There is often a 99 limit on the number of files or folders.

Yeah there's a few folders, but I can add files using another computer in where it installs as a MTP Device. The songs are seperated in folders named after the albums.
