Going to see thing 1 and 2 in their nativity tomorrow. They both have lines but thing 2 had a severe speech impairment and has had intensive speech therapy since he was two years old - just been discharged after four and a half years. Hope I don't make an idiot of myself (will obviously be thrilled to see thing 1 as well).

It's also going to be my last nativity as all my 'babies' will be too old next year.
Blub as much as you need.
Just take plenty of tissues.
Feel happy, proud and tearful at the same time.
Enjoy every moment.
(I still cry watching my now 16 year old granddaughter dancing. A 4 pound 5 ounce baby!)
That will be a lovely moment - treasure it

Dxx
Aww bless, I always welled up when they used to sing Away In Manger
You blub away now......lots to blub happily about, Sherr....xx

Cheers all, I'm not given to public display of blubbing but the boy has come so far (also finding it difficult to see thing 1 in the role of an angel).

whenever i've been to christmas nativity play it's been a blub-fest ,enjoy it lol x
Enjoy the nativity! Take a champagne in with you - tears mix very well!
Ahhh lovely. Blub to your hearts content - you won't be the only one. My grandson is doing his first one next week but as it's a tiny school they can only fit mummies and daddies in the hall so we can't go
A day to remember sher. enjoy! I remember my youngest at his first nativity play. He was the second wise man. Up stepped the first wise man and in his 5 year old voice called out 'I bring gold!' Up stepped my lad and in his 5 year old voice called out 'I bring Frankenstein'. The place just collapsed. I got the blame for that! :o}
