So what is 'more than us ' - born with a silver spoon in their mouths - have priviledges that far outstrip that of Joe Bloggs ?

If the average American spent much time around this couple or anyother Royal representative I'm sure the attention given would gradually diminish.
Having said that, I would offer that just the self-assurance and attractiveness of this young couple is refreshing. Many here can remember the coronation of Elizabeth and she displayed the same sonsitent qualities.
I also think there's a quiet, unspoken longing for the history involved as well as a recognition of the enduring relationship going back for centuries... never mind that dust-up that ended with Cornwallis on October 19, 1781 at Yorktown... We don't have and never will have that relationship with say France, with whom we were briefly (thank you Lord!) allied in the same dust-up referenced. Only Mother England, for better or worse...
