Most Frequently Visited

When I open a new tab on my nexus 7 tablet,chrome displays half a dozen thumbnails of my most visited websites...such as AB and Amazon. Clicking on a thumbnail opens that site.
But in the last week or so,they've all been replaced by thumbnails for sites I've visited infrequently or not at all in weeks. I've looked on countless sites for a solution...I want MY thumbnails back. The only solution I found was for a PC...nothing for tablets. Help please...
