Tis The Season To State The Obvious

Does anyone else work for a company that seems to introduce more nanny state nonsense each year? We've had a 'how to stay safe and healthly over the Winter' and now a 'Christmas security' email with handy but obvious advice.

We even had one about reminding us to keep up to date with flu jabs. I'm sure its because they care!

While I agree that some of the things the S & H people come out with are things that should be common sense sadly it doesn't always work like that.One instance that comes to mind was when I worked in the pits,despite notices being posted all over the place and frequent safety lectures on the subject,men regularly received serious and some times fatal injuries removing guards so they could clean out conveyors without stopping them.Some times I'm afraid the obvious isn't always obvious to everybody
