Best Bread Maker

My son-in-law sometimes makes bread for me and it is very nice, so I'm thinking of buying a bread maker myself as I do love bread. How do I find out which is the better of the makers? I don't want to subscribe to Which so wondered if there is a website where the info is for free.

I'm for the Panasonic, it does and excellent job. If you find the crust to o soft pop it into the oven for five minutes to crisp up

Well I've only gone and done it! Looked at the Panasonic and found one at Tesco Direct that was more in my price range, but it was out of stock but, I noticed they have a Kenwood BM450 rapid bake for a similar price and it was in stock. Not only that, I was able to use some of my Tesco coupons that I've been saving for ages on the clubcard boost.Have arranged to pick up at my local store so no delivery costs. Cost of bread maker ££89.50, but with my vouchers, I only had to pay £6.50. Bargain :-) xx

I had a Panasonic. Excellent. Used it a couple of times, got bored with having to wait 3+ hours for a slice of toast ! Eventually sold it. It was either that or it would just lie in the cupboard along with the fondue set, electric carving knife, veg chopper thing. etc . All the essential I just HAD to have to enhance my life. All money wasters. Beware...

janbee, know what you mean, but I am determined to use it if only at weekends which is the only time I use my coffee machine:-) Plus this one has a rapid bake programme which I think is just under an hour, so not too bad really. xx

Well I like fresh, but baking a new loaf to get toast.... toast was meant to use up stale bread :-)

O_G I find that bread made like this is only 'fresh' if you eat it the same day, so if there is any left over the following days, it is nice toasted. When my s-i-l makes it for me, I divide it into 3. Keep one out and freeze the other 2 so I will probably do this when I start making it myself.x
