As I am due to take the ferry to France this summer I wondered what the best remedy for sea sickness is for myself and potentially my children who are age 13 and 12 years?

Try Ginger Tablets from the chemist

i suffer badly from sea sickness/travel sickness and i use the travel bands that sit on your pressure points on your wrists, i find them a great help

My son was car sick driving five miles down the road ( no kidding) and bad on boats and planes .....and coaches.

Stugeron tablets worked really well for him, the downside is they made him spaced out sleepy, which is fine if you are going on a long journey but not if you are going to someones wedding as we once did - it was like having Dylan from the Magic Roundabout. The other thing is you have to take them a couple of hours in advance.

Crystalised ginger (from health food shops) works for me.

Chris

seasickness pills made me feel even worse... felt drowsy and sick, but they only stopped me actually being sick...

the thing that made me feel better was lying down in the direction of the boat. maybe not very practical though...

And try to find a seat towards the middle of the boat so if it is rough it doesn't move as much as the ends (s'pose you can tell I'm not a proper sailor!!)
the only tablets that work are definatly Sea Legs! they are good! also i used to have these wrist bands that put pressure on your pulses they help!

Eat a pound of strawberry jam before you sail.

It doesn't stop the seasickness but it tastes better coming back up.
