Over and over I see 'disgusting' misspelt in this way, at first I thought it was a typo but it pops up too often on media sites.

Do people really say 'discusting'?

Disgusted, Middle England

Only illiterate people would confuse " Disgust " with " discussed " They clearly don't read enough.
maybe it's an English ' thing'' ?
This is the first time that I have seen it spelt this way. I'd order in a dictionary for the Christmas stocking, hc!

I reckon its a spellcheck thing. I'm sure most people know how to spell it, they just shouldn't rely on spellcheck or at least check it before they send it !
