Royal Mail Special Delivery
Parcelforce
UPS
DHL
no-one is going to be 100% reliable but these i've used Royal Mail Special delivery guaranteed next day £500 compensation that can be upped, fully trackable & signed for at the other end. Depending on the weight Parcelforce may work out cheaper with upto £100 compensation that can be upped too.

You try claiming off Royal Mail when they don't deliver. I've only ever lost three parcels and 2 of them were "Special delivery".
The last time I claimed must have involved more than 20 phone calls and I dont know how many hours on the phone, not to mention sending photo copies galore. I persevered and eventually got a refund, but I must say the call centre staff were really highly trained ... to be as unhelpful as possible.
The one they lost last month was worth around £25.00. Having been through the mill with them before, I just paid the buyer their money back and put it down to ... you win some and loose some.
When you try to claim they want the original receipt of the item they have lost ... I ask you !
