If I take up Sky's offer of Movie channels @ half price for 6 months will I be able to record movies on my DVD recorder to watch at my leisure rather than watching them whilst they are being broadcast ?

With respect Tuvok, I am not sure you are correct. If I select a programme to go on to the Sky+ hard drive I have to click on rec. for the chosen programme to be recorded on the Hard Drive, I can then transfer it to a DVD disc. The question I am asking therefore is am I allowed to record a film from Sky Movies on to the Sky+ Hard Drive as I can at present with Film 4 for example ?
If you subscribe you can record - HOWEVER if when you bring up the Info about whatever you want to record to DVD and you see C in top right of the info box, ths means its copy protected and you may not be able to record it to DVD, depending upon your recorder (my Toshiba won't, my Tevion will!). Box Office movies are also copy protected, as are some of the on demand movies.
Remember when you are recording to DVD you can't watch anything else.
